LOL Beat legal
Privacy Policy
The short version: no sign-up, no profile, no microphone, no ads, no tracking. Press emojis, make tiny beats, share a link if you want. This covers both the LOL Beat website and the LOL Beat iOS app.

No account required
LOL Beat does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, payment details, or profile information. LOL Beat itself does not ask you for any of those things on the web or in the iOS app.
Because there is no server-side account or profile, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on your behalf, and there is no account deletion workflow.
No ads, no tracking
The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. The iOS app does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.
What you create
LOL Beat lets you press emojis, load kit emojis into an eight-step beat grid, play and loop the result, and copy or share a link to it. A shared link encodes only the mix state needed to rebuild that beat: the sound identifiers and the sequencer pattern, plus the playback settings the app needs. It contains no identity, account, or hidden profile.
Anyone you send a link to can open and play that mix.
Audio and device permissions
LOL Beat never uses your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, or location. It does not record ambient audio or listen to anything around you, and it requests no system permissions.
When you record and save a WAV, that audio is rendered locally from LOL Beat's own built-in sounds โ it is the app's own output, not a recording of you or your surroundings.
Saving and sharing a WAV
On the web, saving a WAV is an ordinary browser download to your own device.
In the iOS app, the generated WAV is written temporarily into the app's private cache storage purely so iOS can hand it to the system share sheet. LOL Beat does not upload that file anywhere. Sharing uses Apple's standard share sheet, so whichever app or service you choose to send it to will handle it under that service's own terms and privacy policy.
Clipboard
If you copy a mix link, LOL Beat asks your browser or device to place that link on your clipboard. We do not read clipboard content from your device.
On-device storage
LOL Beat keeps a small amount of lightweight state on your own device โ for example the local storage key lolbeat.discoveries.v1, which remembers which Line, Ostinato and Layer discoveries you have already seen. This is not a server-side user profile, and it is not sent to us.
Browser users can clear it at any time by clearing site data. iOS users can remove app-scoped local data by deleting the app. Ordinary device backup and restore behaviour is handled by your operating system and is outside LOL Beat's control, and iOS may purge temporary cache files, such as an exported WAV, on its own schedule.
The iOS app
The iOS app is self-contained: the interface, the fonts, and every micro-beat are bundled inside the app, so core play works offline with no network connection.
It is built with Capacitor. The plugins included are Capacitor Core, Capacitor Share (to open Apple's share sheet) and Capacitor Filesystem (to write the exported WAV into the app's own cache). No other plugins are installed.
Technical data on the website
When you visit the LOL Beat website, our hosting provider may process routine technical server information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, referrer, timestamps, and error logs.
This is ordinary web hosting logging. LOL Beat does not operate an analytics product, does not sell personal information, and does not use advertising trackers.
Third-party services
The website uses hosting and infrastructure services to deliver the site. Fonts and sounds are served by LOL Beat itself, so no runtime request is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party font or advertising service while you play.
All ages
LOL Beat has a playful, all-ages interface, but it is not positioned or submitted as a children's-category app, and it is not designed to collect information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since LOL Beat collects no personal information from anyone, this holds for every visitor.
